One recent report from September 18 noted the trail was well-marked and dry, though the falls themselves were underwhelming and required a short scramble to see. Another mountain biker experienced a lost bike on the way back to the freeway after riding on September 12, but also confirmed the trails were dry and tacky. Earlier reports from July 25 and July 4 also described the trail as being in great condition with ample parking. Wildflowers and red huckleberries were present in late July, and the falls still had water then.

One tree was reported down near the Mima Falls East and Lost Valley junction as of September 12. Otherwise, trails have been reported as dry with no significant obstacles in recent reports from September 18, July 25, and July 4.
