Glacier Lake trail conditions are mixed, with reports of significant overgrowth and downed trees, particularly after the first mile, making navigation challenging in places as of July 3 and July 11. There are multiple creek crossings; one report notes them as easy rock hops, while another suggests wading is an option. Muddy sections are also present, especially on July 3. Road access is generally good, described as suitable for all vehicles, though some washboarding and potholes were noted as of July 11, and one report from July 3 mentions a closed gate requiring parking and walking past it, though a better parking lot exists further down the road. Snow was not an issue for hikers as of July 3, July 11, and July 23. Bugs were noted as a significant annoyance on July 3 and July 11, though one report from September 7 states no bugs were present. The lake itself is reported as very low but still over 100 feet deep, with active fish biting as of September 7.
