As of September 19, the trail is in good condition and snow-free. The road is suitable for all vehicles and no bugs have been reported. The larches are already turning and are described as glorious, making it a great time to visit before the crowds. While wildflowers were mainly done for the season in mid-July, a few small pockets may still remain. Be aware of potential wildlife encounters, as a bear was heard in the underbrush on July 17.

The road is suitable for all vehicles as of September 14. It was previously described as rough but passable in mid-July.
As of September 19, the trail is in good condition with no reported obstacles. Earlier reports from July 12 and July 8 mentioned minor washouts and loose rock, but these posed few problems.
