The Umtanum Creek Canyon trail is currently difficult to navigate due to stream crossings and overgrowth, making parts of it virtually impossible to traverse as of July 3. The initial two miles are described as picturesque with two water crossings, but beyond that, trail finding becomes increasingly challenging, requiring bushwhacking and resulting in scratches. While the road to the trailhead is suitable for all vehicles and bugs were not a significant issue, the trail itself presents substantial obstacles for hikers.
