Artist Point Snowshoe

North Cascades

updated 1 week ago

As of May 4th, 2026, Artist Point Snowshoe has ample snow, though conditions are wet and sloppy, particularly on sunny, warmer days. Expect soft snow that can lead to unintentional glissading, as reported on May 4th. The road to Artist Point is currently bare and dry, with plenty of parking and open restrooms (bring your own toilet paper). Snowshoes are recommended, though microspikes might be considered on icy crusts. Trails are varied, offering options for switchbacks or steeper routes. A report from February 15th noted deep powder, while March 8th described very wet, heavy snow with an icy crust.
