The road to the Baldy/Tyler Trailhead is rough and slow going, with scattered rocks ranging from baseball to watermelon size reported on the spur road as of August 31. The main road in the Dungeness Valley is particularly bad, taking nearly an hour to cover 10 miles according to one report. The trail itself is in good condition, snow-free, and with no significant bug issues reported. Minor obstacles are posing few problems for hikers.
