The road leading to the trailhead was suitable for all vehicles as of July 27 and July 22, however, one report from August 15 states the road was impassable/closed five miles from the trailhead. Spider webs were notably dense, especially after the Boulder Lake trailhead, as of July 22. Hikers were advised to use a trekking pole to clear webs and wear hiking pants due to some overgrowth. A bear was sighted at the Boulder Lake Camping Area on July 27, prompting reminders for bear-safe practices.
