Boulder River

North Cascades

updated 1 week ago

As of June 20, 2026, the Boulder River Trail is experiencing its peak season. Forest Road 2010 remains potholed but passable for most vehicles at slow speeds. The trailhead parking lot is filling rapidly, often by late morning.

The trail itself is in good condition, with recent reports indicating minor obstacles like fallen logs that are easily navigable. Mud is present in some sections, especially where drains are clogged with debris. Hikers can expect beautiful views of the river and spectacular waterfalls, particularly Feature Show Falls. True Boulder Falls is reportedly not visible from the main trail. All recent reports confirm the availability of a vault toilet approximately 0.7 miles from the highway.
