I’m sure the trail would’ve been nice, but the swarms of gnats were insufferable. I was covered head to toe in gnats. I only made it a quarter mile before deciding it was too gnatty.

This was my first hike on Castle rock and it was a blast. I loved every part of it. If you have not hated in a long time, it is a good hike to start with. Very lovely views. It is also kid friendly.
