Prior to that, on January 8, 2026, the snow depth was around 4 to 6 inches, and snowshoes were a must, though the trail had been recently groomed by a snow cat. Access to the trailhead via Road 92 was plowed as of January 8, 2026, but logging trucks were active. In late December, the road to the upper Sno-Park had snow on it as of December 24, 2025, and the trail was a mix of snow, ice, and bare ground, becoming consistently snow-covered about two miles in.
