Gold Creek Pond

Snoqualmie Region

updated 4 days ago

Gold Creek Pond conditions are transitioning out of winter. By March 22nd, the snow is no longer suitable for snowshoeing, with conditions reportedly over for the season. Earlier in March (March 10th), a few inches of fresh snow created a winter wonderland, with just boots being sufficient. However, this followed reports of packed snow and ice in January (January 10th and 3rd) that made the road icy and difficult, with one report (January 3rd) stating the road was impassable and closed, requiring a walk from Forest Road 4832. Parking has been a significant issue, with reports of extreme crowding around noon on January 31st and limited parking by 9-10 am on January 10th. The trail itself is generally easy, with minor obstacles, but snowfields could pose difficulty earlier in the year. Be aware the trail closes for the season on April 1st.
