Gold Creek Pond Snowshoe
Snoqualmie Region
As of March 14, 2026, Gold Creek Pond Snowshoe conditions are mixed, with snow requiring gear at times. Recent reports indicate the lake is not frozen. The road to the trailhead (NF-4832) had clear conditions on March 14th, though earlier reports (Dec 27, Dec 30, Jan 3) noted icy and snow-covered roads requiring caution.
Snow depth was decent on March 14th following recent snowfall, necessitating snowshoes past the trailhead restroom. However, on January 14th and February 18th, the trail was compact and icy, with reports suggesting boots or micro-spikes were sufficient. Some tree debris was noted on March 14th. Parking was available on March 14th at the NF-4832 roadside, though earlier reports (Dec 27) mentioned potential congestion and stuck vehicles on the approach road. Weekdays appear less crowded than weekends.

Beautiful day at Gold Creek. Snow shoes were helpful most on the road and on the far side of the lake. Otherwise, snow was pretty hard packed. Limited people there from ten until around noon.
A great trail for beginners to practice snowshoeing! Lots of people out with microspikes and good boots as well. Lovely weather for a new year's eve outing.
