The Licorice Fern Trail is in good condition, well-graded and free of debris as of September 11. Parking is plentiful, with no more than four cars noted returning at 3 PM. The creek under the bridge has a little water. As of September 11, there was no evidence of the wasp nest reported in early August. However, a hornet nest was noted on a tree stump about 1.5 miles into the hike as of August 1, so hikers should be wary of aggressive hornets.
