The county has closed the road where it crosses the north fork due to a washout just past the bridge, making it impassable. While the road is in good shape up to the bridge, the closure prevents further vehicle access from that point. On the trail itself, there are down trees, with some cleared by a work party, but one large log remains as an obstacle. The Quartz Creek trailhead has had some trees cleared for about 1.5 miles, but larger ones still need attention.

Yes, there are down trees on the trail. A work party cleared some obstacles on the Blanca Lake trail, but one large log remains as a significant impediment as of August 17. The Quartz Creek trail also has some large trees that have not yet been cleared.
