The trail across the ski area near Snoqualmie Pass is very bushy. This condition was noted on August 18, and hikers might consider wearing long pants for this section.
The Bumping River can be forded, described as calf-deep as of July 5. An alternative log crossing is also available. There was also a report of a dried-up spring below Packwood Pass as of September 13, requiring a hike down another trail to find water.
Blowdown is present on the trail in some sections, including along Coyote Ridge as of September 13, and in the Norse Peak Burn area as of August 10. However, some blowdown has been limbed to make it easier to navigate.
Despite being mid-week in mid-September, one report from September 13 noted a surprising number of people. Another report from July 23 mentioned hordes of day hikers at Dewey Lakes and on the Naches loop.
