The trail to Skyscraper Mountain is reported as snow-free and in good condition as of July 27 and July 19. However, reports from July 3 indicate numerous obstacles, including about two dozen downed trees and two muddy reroutes north of Grand Park, which may still be present. The primary access road, NF-73, was closed north of Huckleberry Creek TH due to a washout and slide as of July 3, necessitating a lengthy detour via NF-75. Parking at trailheads like Eleanor Creek is limited to shoulder parking. Wildflowers were beginning to bloom in Berkeley Park in early July.

As of July 3, there were about two dozen treefalls of various annoyance levels north of Grand Park, along with two muddy marsh reroutes. It is unknown if this has been addressed since that report.
The NF-73 road, a common approach, was closed north of the Huckleberry Creek Trailhead due to a washout and slide as of July 3. Hikers may need to use NF-75, a narrow and windy detour.
Parking is limited to shoulder parking at trailheads such as Eleanor Creek as of July 3. It is advised to park considerately.
