The road status is unclear, with one report from October 27, 2024, stating the Tolmie Peak road entrance was closed early due to construction. In earlier reports (October 1 to October 13, 2024), the Mowich Lake road was described as rough, and parking was abundant, but this may no longer be the case due to the road closure. Trail conditions were reported as excellent with no obstacles in August 2025, but winter conditions will likely have changed this.
