Mailbox Peak

Snoqualmie Region

updated yesterday

As of May 10, 2026, Mailbox Peak offers mostly snow-free trail conditions, though patches of mud are noted, particularly towards the top. Both the new and old trails are generally in good condition, with recent reports indicating cleared blowdowns on the new trail. Parking can be competitive; arriving early is recommended, especially on weekends, as both lots and roadside parking fill up. Some hikers report encountering numerous other people, and there are mentions of trash on the trail, including tissue and dog waste. Bugs have been noted as present near the summit and on the descent. Trekking poles are highly recommended, especially for the rocky, steep final ascent and descent.
