Pratt Lake Basin

Snoqualmie Region

updated 6 days ago

The Pratt Lake Basin is currently snow-free and accessible for vehicles of all types. Hikers are encountering significant fall color, particularly around the lake, as of mid-September 2026. A notable hazard exists on a boardwalk just below the Pratt-Olallie/Talapus junction, where boards have broken through and present impaling dangers, marked with white ribbon. Other minor obstacles include some slick rocks and puddling, but overall the trail to Pratt Lake is in good condition. The Pratt River Trail, however, is reported to be overgrown with numerous downed trees, making it difficult for trail running and requiring careful footing. Parking can be competitive, with the main lot often full, leading to roadside parking extending for a considerable distance.
