The Talus Loop is in good condition overall, with most reports indicating snow-free and bug-free conditions in late July and August. However, the road access has varied. As of September 15, the road to the parking lot is in poor condition with large potholes, recommending high clearance vehicles only. Prior reports from August 2 and July 23 stated the road was suitable for all vehicles. Recent observations note the beginning of autumn colors on the maples as of September 15. Teneriffe Falls was dry as of August 2.

As of September 15, the road is in poor condition with many large potholes, and may not be suitable for low clearance vehicles. Prior reports from August 2 and July 23 indicated the road was suitable for all vehicles.
The trail is generally in good condition, though some reports mention it being narrow at times and possibly experiencing some washing out due to recent rain. There has been some overgrowth from tree branches, particularly on the upper Mount Teneriffe Trail, which was noted as slightly annoying but not a problem as of August 2.
Recent reports mention a Northern Pygmy owl and a vocalizing pika at the viewpoint as of September 15. Mountain goats were also spotted at the summit in August 2 and July 12. Curious Barred Owls were seen near the Roaring Creek Trail on July 23.
As of August 2, Teneriffe Falls was dry. It is possible that recent rain may have changed this, but this is the most recent reported condition.
