The Harts Pass Road is currently open and passable for normal vehicles, though it is rough in sections near Deadhorse Point according to a report from September 7. The trail to Grasshopper Pass is largely snow-free as of September 7, with minor obstacles posing few problems. However, earlier reports from June 27 and June 25 indicated snowfields to cross, which could be difficult or intermittent. Wildflowers were exuberant and at their peak in late June, but by September 7, they were still present but green, suggesting they would be spectacular during peak larch season. Bugs have not been a significant issue in recent reports.

The Harts Pass Road is currently open and described as rough but passable for normal vehicles as of September 7. A report from August 21 also indicated it was suitable for all vehicles. Earlier in the season, from June 25 to June 27, the road to the Brown Bear trailhead had some big snow patches remaining in the last quarter mile.
As of September 7, the trail to Grasshopper Pass was snow-free with minor obstacles. However, earlier reports from June 27 noted three large snowfields on slopes that could be difficult, and June 25 mentioned intermittent snow not hard to cross.
