Water is plentiful throughout the trail, with the exception of Beaver Creek near Bear Camp, which was dry as of September 15. The road to the trailhead is rough but passable as of September 15, though it was reported as suitable for all vehicles on September 5, August 4, and July 18. Parking at the trailhead can be limited, with five cars present on September 5, though a spot was found. Bugs were not a problem for hikers in September, September, August, and July.
