We hiked from Slab Camp Creek TH through the Buckhorn Wilderness into Olympic National Park to the Gray River camp sites on July 6, 2026. The trail has minor obstacles and is snow-free as of July 6, 2026. Trails up the Gray Wolf river and Cameron Creek had some blowdowns but were navigable. The road to the trailhead is suitable for all vehicles as of July 6, 2026. Parking was plentiful mid-morning on July 5, 2026. Bugs were not a major issue as of July 6, 2026.
